WHAT IS A COMMUNITY FOUNDATION?

Leave a lasting legacy in Kawartha Lakes

Community foundations help guide volunteer efforts and financial support to where it will have the greatest impact. They work to make a difference, finding the best way to contribute to make the community a better place. The Kawartha Community Foundation plays a crucial role in how people give back where communities need it most.

Our Impact

We help accelerate significant community investments that require time to fund and build. We support emerging community efforts that are not yet formally established. Additionally, we enhance our impact by partnering with giving circles and charities with expertise in financial administration, donation management, tax receipting, and donor management.

“This is personal for us. We live and work in Bobcaygeon, we want to support and help the residents and staff at Pinecrest Nursing Home and also our local community. We will do whatever we can to help our neighbours, and that’s why I’m pledging $10,000 to the relief fund.”
