Mai & Chuong Tan Memorial Fund
The Purpose
This Fund and Scholarship Award was created by Phong Tan, owner-manager of PharmaSave in Fenelon Falls, and his family to honour the extraordinary legacy of their parents, Mai and Chuong Tan. As hardworking Canadians who built their lives around perseverance, family, and community, Mai and Chuong inspired their children—and many around them—through quiet strength, resilience, and unwavering support for others.

Mai & Chuong Tan Memorial Scholarship Award
The Mai & Chuong Tan Memorial Scholarship Award supports a graduating student from Fenelon Falls Secondary School who demonstrates the same resilience and spirit embodied by Mai and Chuong Tan.
This annual award recognizes a student who:
Shows consistent academic effort and a drive to excel
Has demonstrated resilience in overcoming challenges
Actively contributes to their school and community
Exhibits the qualities the Tans valued—confidence, compassion, leadership, enthusiasm, and commitment to helping others
The scholarship is intended to open doors for a student with strong potential who would benefit from financial assistance as they pursue post-secondary education.
