Community Fund Fenelon Falls
The Purpose
Known as the “Jewel of the Kawarthas”, Fenelon Falls is an inclusive and supportive community.
The Community Fund Fenelon Falls (CFFF) was established to build the Fenelon Falls community in new and innovative ways, help people and create meaningful and lasting change. Responding to calls from residents, cottagers and visitors, the CFFF provides unique opportunities to address the specific needs of the community and people which are currently going unmet or not being adequately funded.
The fund also proudly continues to support horticultural and beautification initiatives previously connected to the Fenelon Falls Horticultural Society. These efforts contribute to the natural beauty, environmental stewardship, and community pride that make Fenelon Falls a vibrant place to live, work, and visit.
Our Projects
Juniper Park: Fenelon Falls Environmental Park
Nestled beside Langton Public School, Juniper Park spans 2.5 acres of dedicated green space in the heart of Fenelon Falls. This revitalization project is transforming the park into an inclusive, accessible, and environmentally conscious community space. Planned enhancements include accessible walking paths, a variety of seating areas, sensory-friendly features, and nature-based play zones — all thoughtfully designed to preserve and celebrate the natural environment.
We’re currently raising $75,000 to further enhance the park with additional shade structures and creative play equipment that will benefit the entire community — especially seniors, children and families. Your support will help ensure that Juniper Park remains a welcoming and vibrant space for generations to come.
Pride Crosswalk
The Fenelon Falls & District Chamber of Commerce has worked closely with the City of Kawartha Lakes (CKL) to develop a policy for coloured painted crosswalks. Now approved as a policy with the CKL, the very first painted crosswalk is proposed for Fenelon Falls. The highly visible Pride crosswalk will celebrate the 2SLGBTQI+ community and will be featured at the busiest pedestrian crosswalk in Fenelon Falls, the corner of May and Water Streets. This initiative has garnered much community support and is in its final fundraising stages.
Downtown Sculpture Exhibition 2025
The Fenelon Arts Committee is has been fundraising for the second seasonal public art initiative: The Downtown Sculpture Exhibition 2025. This project features a collection of six sculptures mounted on limestone base rocks in the garden planters along Colborne Street. A jury of local arts and cultural leaders and business leaders will be appointed by the FAC to select the works. The call for submissions was live on the FAC website with a deadline of Friday, March 21, 2025.

Continuing a Legacy of Community Beautification

From gardens and planters to public spaces and seasonal enhancements, these projects have helped create a welcoming and vibrant community environment.
Today, the Fenelon Falls Community Fund is proud to continue supporting these efforts as part of its broader commitment to community development and local impact.
The Kawartha Community Foundation and the Fenelon Community Fund are working hand-in-hand to invest in local priorities, uplift community well-being, and build a bright future for Fenelon Falls. Together, we’re supporting the projects, people, and places that make this community truly exceptional.
