THE GROVE THEATRE
FENELON FALLS

The Grove Theatre is a stunning, world-class, outdoor amphitheatre situated in a grove in Fenelon Falls.  It was created under the auspices of the Kawartha Works Community Co-op, with initial funding from the Ontario Trillium Foundation and additional support from members of the local community.

Conceived to engage and inspire both local residents and visitors alike, it is a space where professional theatre, cabaret, comedy, magic, and music animate the stage in an idyllic natural setting.

There was resounding applause for The Grove Theatre’s first full season in 2022, which presented a lively array of one-night performances surrounding the run of our inaugural mainstage show: Artistic Director Sean Cox’s hilarious production of The 39 Steps. We are excited for our 2023 season and you can help keep the momentum going!

Most people don’t realize what it costs to mount a professional full season. Your donation will help cover actors’ salaries, expenses for designers, technicians, backstage crew and administrative staff, plus a multitude of material costs, from set construction to equipment rental to program printing. It all adds up to far more than can be met by ticket sales alone, which, for not-for-profit theatres, typically cover less than 50% of the cost of a show.

We thank you for your support, which is far more than just financial. It is an investment in our collective sense of identity, our pride in belonging to this beautiful corner of the world called the Kawartha Lakes, and a shared vision in the community: a vision of renewed connection, of artistic excellence, and of joyful gathering.

We respectfully acknowledge that The Grove Theatre is on land of the Michi Saagiig Nishnaabe – a people with a long tradition of storytelling and dance.
